Hybrid Vehicles
Hybrid vehicles are automobiles that utilize two or more distinct types of power sources to propel the vehicle. Typically, this involves a combination of an internal combustion engine (ICE) and one or more electric motors powered by batteries. The main objective of hybrid vehicles is to improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions compared to traditional gasoline or diesel vehicles.Hybrid systems can vary in design; common types include series hybrids, where the combustion engine generates electricity for the electric motor, and parallel hybrids, where both the engine and electric motor can drive the vehicle simultaneously. Some hybrids also feature regenerative braking, which captures energy normally lost during braking and uses it to recharge the battery.By combining the strengths of both power sources, hybrid vehicles aim to provide a more environmentally friendly alternative to conventional vehicles while also offering enhanced performance and greater fuel economy.
